Astley Bridge Cricket Club is a community-run, non-profit club with over 100 years of history, supporting local children, families, and communities. We will soon be celebrating our centenary at our home ground, Sharples Park, and our values of supporting those within the community are more important than ever.

We operate six junior and four senior teams, including one of the country’s first visually impaired teams, integrated into a mainstream club. Each week, we support over 111 junior and 45 senior players through inclusive programs that foster confidence and teamwork.

Located in a deprived area, the club often provides the only safe space for sport, friendship, and self-belief, offering strong role models and a welcoming environment.

Beyond cricket, it is a vibrant community hub that supports various groups such as Angling Society, Slimming World, Bikers Club, Rotary Club, Hockey Club, Rounders Team and Church Communities alongside our Function Room for celebratory occasions and hosting events, all ensuring our broad local engagement.
